WELCOME TO DEVON ANCESTRY. We very much value your interest in our GENEALOGY
AND HISTORICAL RESEARCH SERVICES and your potential custom. We aim to provide our clients with high quality, professional
and reliable research that represents excellent value for money. As our name suggests, we are based in the county of Devon
in the South West of England. Although we specialise in this region, we can also draw upon the expertise of a growing network
of associates elsewhere in the country. These include researchers in CORNWALL, BRISTOL, SOMERSET, DORSET, HAMPSHIRE and WILTSHIRE.
Our LONDON associate regularly visits the Family Records Centre, the Public Record Office and most other libraries and archives
in the capital.
DEVON ANCESTRY has access to a wide range of historical and genealogical material: original documents;
public record indexes; printed books, journals and periodicals; local newspapers and directories; microfilmed documents, and
nationally compiled indexes. A large proportion of these sources is housed in Exeter, but some items are located in Plymouth
and Barnstaple. In a number of cases, collections contain information of relevance to the neighbouring counties of SOMERSET,
DORSET and CORNWALL.
The navigation bar on the left-side of this website will give you an idea of the sources available
to us and the range of services that we provide. We hope we may have the opportunity to be of assistance to you in the near
future. Please click here for details of how to Contact.

Biography (60 volumes and online, 2004). Dr. Woodland is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and
